Paralegal
Crispin joined the firm in May 2024 as a Paralegal.
Crispin assists with Family cases, including advising clients, representing clients in settings such as PLO meetings, and preparing court statements. He also assists with all aspects of the Legal Aid funding process.
Crispin’s ambition is to become a Human Rights Barrister. He shares Appleman Legal’s commitment to access to justice and improving people’s lives and the wider community.
Career
Crispin has experience representing a range of clients, from people in immigration detention and asylum seekers to zero-hour contract workers. He is an OISC-accredited adviser at Level 3 for Asylum and Protection cases and Level 1 for Immigration cases.
Crispin prides himself on his ability to put himself in people’s shoes in order to advance their case empathetically and persuasively.
At Appleman Legal, Crispin intends to further develop as an advocate, and eventually to represent clients at the Family Court.
Interests
Crispin enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as reading, seeing live music, and running. Crispin is also a keen learner of Spanish and Arabic and hopes one day to be able to use both languages in his work
