David Botham

David joined Appleman Legal in August 2022 as a paralegal to work jointly in our Mental Health and Court of Protection departments. He is based at our Head office in London.
David provides legal assistance to solicitors in all aspects of case preparation for First-tier Tribunals (Mental Health), Hospital Manager's Hearings, Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings and Court of Protection proceedings.
His responsibilities include conducting outdoor attendances, perusal of documents, preparation of case bundles, drafting case correspondence and attending to clients to obtain instructions and prepare witness statements.
David is a polite and calm individual who is able to perform well under pressure. 
David chose a career in law and decided to practice in those areas that directly impact the most vulnerable in our society. He was thrilled to join Appleman Legal due to its commitment to social welfare and natural justice. 


David attended the University of Oxford to study Philosophy and Theology. After he decided to embark on a career in law, he attended the University of Law to complete his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course. 


As well as being a devoted father, he enjoys the Theatre, reading and music.
